Black Copper Maran Rooster with my Buff Orpington Hen makes what?!?!

Hey, this is about a fun breeding project. If you don’t like it, you can leave.
I think it’s a great idea! Crosses are super cool. You’ll have to show pics of how they mature.
Have all the fun you want. But keep in mind that people took decades to create those breeds, and the chicks you sell on will be part of the undoing of that work. Breed away; just please think of the long term implictions

Hey everyone, for those of you don't know I have seven chickens. Six of them are hens and one is a rooster. Anyways I want to have some baby chicks and the breed of my hens is a factor in an experiment I am doing. I am trying to see what each chick will look like with a pair of genes from the following breeds:
Black Copper Maran x Buff Orpington (I have two of these)
Black Copper Maran x Rhode Island Red ( I have one)
Black Copper Maran x Americauna ( I have two of different colors)
Black Copper Maran x Wheaten Maran (I have one)

Anyways if you know what a crossover with the highlighted one please let me know also if you know any others I am not saying I won't appreciate your advice. :wee Thanks,
Owenp_2

Thank you, for being an awesome person. I am doing experiements like these to help anyone who may end up ina situation like me. I am 13 and my parents will only let me do so much. Most of what I have is because they trust me enough to take care of it. Since I am only allowed one rooster right now, I have no choice but to do harmless experiments like these. And if they do not like that then they do not have to get that breed. Afterall the chicks are only going to me anyways. It´s not like I do not have options to make a cross with another breed was just trying to see what these would look like. Thank you for replying though!! :D:bow

Hi Owenp_2.
impressed about your interest for breeding chooks at that early age .BRAVO . hope you will turn into great chooks breeder in the future , good luck .
here how the crosses will look like = Black copper marans X RIR = all the chicks will hatch black with some white one them { like BCM chicks } with some brown hues on they head . they will look when fully mature like BC but darker copper copper more of Mahogany .

Black copper X Americans ? what color .= all chicks will be OE lay green eggs .

Black copper X Wheaten marans = will chicks will hatch Black with some white on them ,more white than normal BC chicks . they will look when fully mature like BC but with a lot of yellow in they hackle and chest. they will lay dark eggs .

good luck .keep us posted .
don t forget to tell me the color of the Americanas ?

It takes on to know one. :D
We can't have roosters by law, but our six girls are beauties and I wish I could breed them. I, years ago, watched the chicks hatch in my younger brother's classroom. Oh boy. Now I want chickens.
I think these will make some very interesting crosses. I can't find the exact BC pattern on the genetic calculator. Gimme a sec..
Females: (for the BO cross) Black patterned buff incomplete quail.

Males: black patterned buff columbian (incomplete) with less hackles markings.

Black copper are from ER family genetic .2 dominant .so the Columbian gene Co does not show up , all cockerels will look BCM with Mahogany type copper .

genome of BCM is ER/ER , s+/s+ etc...................\genome of RIR hen is Ey or Ewh .s+/s+. Co/Co etc....................= progeny will be ER/Ey ,s+/s+ Co/co+ .Mh /mh+ etc............. all black copper looking .

second generation crossing F1 X F1 will give some buff comlumbian cockerels and quail pullets.
