Black Copper Marans Chicks

That is sound advice. I am not a big fan of Eggbid, but I guess there arent too many outlets for chicks. Thanks, I will give that a try when the weather warms up a bit!

Just make sure you let us all know when you are posting the auction. I personally would like to bid.

Chicks are a much better gamble then eggs in my opinion.

I seen a posting under Black Copper Maran Chickens For Sale.I was a bit surprised that some people want to try and find them cheaper after visiting ebay so they ask around in here.I think if someone cant afford them maybe they should raise a breed less expensive.Just my opinion LOL.

I am selling them, not buying them. I just wanted to know what a fair price to charge is.

$12 is cheap for pure and rare. What would any other animal that is pure and rare cost? I think $12 is a steal! I have Black Copper marans and have never complained on the price. What is something worth? What people will pay. If you can sell all you can hatch at $12 and have a waiting list, you are on the cheap side. What if you sell them for $25 and you have a waiting list? Are you doing something wrong?

I never got any of my chicks for 12 bucks a piece, either. I think you are right--it is whatever the market bears. I was thinking double what eggs go for as a rule, which puts the between 20 and 25 a piece. I was using Eggbid as a guide--but 60 a chick?

I can put some on Eggbid in Feb or so and see how it goes, but I am selling them locally, too and just wanted your opinions on what to charge.

It is too cold to ship baby chicks here in December and January. I haven't ever shipped chicks before either--so I am little nervous. I bought my shipping boxes, though, and am getting ready.
