I also got some from Black Copper King and they are great birds, but out of 23, 15 of them were roos! I took 14 to be dispatched, kept 1 roo and only have 9 pullets out of the whole bunch. Not exactly a great way to "cash in" in my book!
I got mine mostly for the egg color for my egg customers though and Jesse had some day olds that were close and in great health so I live and learn about buying so many before seeing/knowing the sex ratios.
I'm going to give another BYC member here in AL some of my eggs for the same price I sell all my eggs when they start laying so she can raise some for herself since she's got an incubator.
