I'm not sure...to be honest

I haven't spent that much time with this hatch. They were sort of "for fun" and from a friend, they are not mine, but I was hoping I could use one or two of them - how is he holding his wing? Not sure I am understanding - sorry!

From the picture looks to have a split wing. If you can catch him and spread the right wing and see if it folds back correctly. From the way it looks the primaries are out of alignment and are outside of the secondaries when folded. Don

Wynette, Legs look correct to my eyes. Would like a little larger picture so we can see the whole package. Don

Shoot, I'm sorry - can't do a larger pic. I already resized and "saved as original." Next time I take pics, I'll be sure to leave them larger.

Trying to figure out why I am not seeing your picture that everyone is commenting on????????? It must be operator error on my art I am sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

I see the pic just fine.

Honestly I don't see entirely what is so wrong with him. . . His legs look pretty pink right now, but they do change as they mature. . . He has a lovely chest, a good, low tail so far (which is always a good sign, as when they develop the saddle, the angle always increases about 10 degrees, sometimes more) his back is long, neck is good, color looks good so far, but I'm sure if you want more copper in the hens he may not be of use.

Folks: I have edited the front page to include a link to the French website as to suggested breeding strategies from the ones that gave us these great birds. There seems to be some descrepancy/confusion in what is the official leg color so I will let you guys be the official judges of your own FLOCK!!!! LOL (how nice of me)... You may find it helpful to linebreed this way until you are ready to create the perfect showbird for the ring. I have found it is necessary to linebreed to keep good color in the eggs.. Others may have a different experience.

It is easier to ride a line down the middle till you get to your turn off!!!

Pretty much the same opinion but am I seeing white in his feathers or is it the light. The comb has a bit too many points but that is not an issue when there are always so many others to fret over. I like him. How is his size?

No white feathers, and he's the largest one of the hatch (which is why I was hoping I could use him). I for sure won't if he has a wing issue, but wasn't planning on using him anyway to be honest; just thought I'd post a pic for us to critique!
