Black Muscovy project

where do you live that they are standardized ?
around here muscovys and guineas are not shown at any local fairs.
I had some black drakes that were huge.
lots of them.
I live in Australia. Guinea fowl are also standardised here, but not all poultry shows will allow entries a bit like with turkeys. We just don’t have a class or standard for ornamental ducks.

I see,
guineas are not native to America so I guess that is why they are not recognized.
Probably that is a good thing so they are not messed with like AKA dogs are.
I always thought that Muscovys are of the Cormorant family.. Just my opinion, no facts to back me up..

Guinea fowl aren’t native here, I’m sure you know that. And I don’t have any idea what family muscovies are from, I’ll look up the scientific name.

Edit: Muscovies scientific name: Cairina moschata.

Update 1/2/2020:

Total Black Muscovies:
7
Drakes: 5
Ducks: 2
Breeding Pairs: 2

Yesterday, I got a new breeding pair of scovies. The Drake is larger and has rougher cruncles on his face, but has a patch on his neck. He also is better in type then my previous breeding drake. The duck is also nice but she is a bit too white on her chin?. Here’s a photo of the pair, and a video:

Have any names for them?

Hansel and grettel are handsome ducks!

That patch is odd, i heard they can grow cruncles where feathers have been ripped out?
It’s seems like that with one of my younger drakes, he’s beginning to develop some cruncles where the other boys have been grabbing him.
