If it's really a BSL, it's a pullet because there is no yellow spot on its head. I bought 5 BSL's but only 2 of them actually are, I think. I'm researching trying to figure out the other possibilities
Saw your old post of your Buff Orphinton Barred Rock cross hens and I really like their looks. Are they good layers and can they handle extreme heat and Cold?

This is our mystery chicken. She was sold to us as a Rhode Island Red, but we soon could tell as we learned more about chickens that this was not a RIR. So we started asking around. Many people seem to believe she is a Black sex link. I figure that if anyone knows, It would be the people that own BSL. I don't think she is, just since she was brown as a chick. Maybe her mom was a RIR, and her father a BSL? Any ideas on what you believe this hen is?
