Yes it's two days but, Usually Sunday is when everyone packs up and goings home early. So if your going to go for Sunday I would say get there right at 9am before everyone packs up and leaves

Thanks! The roos and a few of the girls are molting, but they are looking good! I have my first batch of 8 eggs in the bator know so fingers crossed they are fertile! I will candle in 2 days to see!

As for pictures, I find it is best to get them out of the coop in natural light with no flash. The flash usually reflects off of the sheen they have and looks like leakage in pictures. It can also wash them out. No matter what though they always are better in person!

I have a beautiful blk silkie cockerel for free if anyone would like him. I bought him as a youngin and he has wry tail so I can't use him.

I just candled my first batch of black eggs since I got my new roos! 9/10 are developing! I can't wait for some fluffy black silkie chicks (and one BLRW chick)! I have collected 5 more eggs since so once I get 2 more I will be plugging in the Brinsea Mini! Here is to lots of babies by spring!

I want to start breeding black silkies. I am new to the whole breeding process but have had chickens my whole life. I am looking for a black rooster of show quality. Does anyone know where to find a good quality rooster?? Or does anyone have one they would be willing to sell?
