A friend of mine got the rare breed chick collection from MPC. We were able to guess all the breeds except two chicks. They look like they might be black sumatras, from day old pictures on feathersite. But, does anyone have pictures of black sumatra chicks a little older- maybe 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks old? We're curious now that they're getting bigger. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I don't have pics of my friend's chicks. We're looking for pictures of others' young sultans to be able to compare- that's what I'm hoping all these folks can help with!

Black sultans are rarer than chicken teeth, I doubt very much that a hatchery would have any stock!

Looking through My Pet Chicken's website, I see no black sultans. How many toes per foot? Does it have a crest? Solid black? Can you give us a detailed description? That'll help...

My goodness- what a dummy I am! I was so pre-occuipied looking into sultans for myself, that I typed that. I meant Black Sumatra! I'm sorry for the confusion! I will edit the original post.
