Blackchops I'm going to clone you.

Something went seriously wrong when I tried to post this before, so here is my second attempt.
Blackchops is a 32 week old cross Naked Neck who began to lay about 6 weeks ago. She is an exceptionally BIG bird. Initially she laid little pullet-sized eggs, then hen sized , then ENORMOUS eggs.

Over the last 4 days she has laid 3 eggs weighing 96g, 89g and 94g.

so, here's Blackchops with her ever-present BIG consort, Gordon.

Not so pretty, but one heck of a hen!

Wow! Beautiful girl and Oh My Gosh eggs!!!!!! Where can I get one like her!? Lol and I'd say at least double yolkers!

These eggs are almost the 'one egg omelette'.

Blackchops is such a big hen that the laying of them didn't seem to occasion her any difficulty at all.....but she was singing the egg song for about 5 minutes after each one, so she is VERY proud.

Gordon is a bit of a star with his beady eyes and odd looks....Blue Partridge Brahma X Naked Neck. He is the biggest sweetie ever.

Blackchops stopped laying for a few weeks during the shortest days (shouldn't have done as she is under a year old....will these chickens EVER read the correct chapter!). Yesterday I saw her high tailing towards the hen house with Gordon in tow....and another whopper. She is, however, even bigger since her break from egg laying, so I'm not sure what egg size will be normal for her.
