Blank space before posts?

Try lowering the size of your font or changing the zoom level on the screen. (Can't remember exactly which one I changed to fix it) I had the same thing happen a month or so ago out the blue and it was either one or the other that fixed it!!

Not a problem, IE, is well "funky" some times

That's weird! We will definitely have to look into that, especially if it is the default view for some instances of IE.

I use IE, don't see a space.
