I'm not saying you should lie, but take the angle of don't ask/don't tell. I fully believe there are times when it's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
Hope that works out! If he hasn't been anywhere near her in a while (and vice versa) a slower integration might be needed, so they can become friends again.

Seems like the other cockerel simply showed that he was in charge and now he is scared to interact with the rest of the flock as if he’s just humiliated himself. I’d either rehome him or give him a few hens of his own in a separate in closureHi everyone, we have a blind cockerel who has extremely poor eyesight after getting into a fight with another cockerel.
A few months ago, we moved him into a separate enclosure to his flock as the same cockerel kept attacking him. Now, he is on his own with no hens and seems to be very depressed and doesn't come out of his coop.
As we can't return him to his old coop with his old hens I am not sure what to do to entertain him. Apart from his eyesight he is healthy and eats and drinks well. Just having trouble finding something that he will enjoy as he is blind. Any suggestions?
