Hi
I have what appears to be l think a blind Silkie. I did live with another roo for 3-4years along with 5-6silkie hens but they started fighting and my poor Silkie boy came off worse so l immediately separated them and cleaned him up. Kepted the Silkie boy where he was and moved the Pekin boy. After a few weeks he developed a yellow looking and smelly cheesy discharge in one nostril, that swelled up and which l managed to get the bulk of it out and his nostril immediately resumed size but l can still see abit. Since, lve noticed his behaviour is much different like walking alongside the walls of the hut and looking lost when he has come outside the hut. He's eyes do look alittle cloudy. I can pick him up without him attempting to run. My eggs haven't been fertile for the passed year. It's totally different behaviour. He's about 5years old. Any ideas and solution to the yellow substance up his nose and how do l support a blind Cockerel?
Thank you for any suggestions.......
