It does look like a lash egg. If you still have it, cut it open, take pictures and post them.

In order to attempt to treat it (via antibiotics) you will also need to figure out which bird it came from, which can be pretty tough if she's not yet ill enough to show it in her behavior.
I won't lie, from what I've read, salpingitis is eventually fatal. But my hen, Pip, is still here, besting the 6 month average.
I have a 6-year-old hen that laid 3 lash eggs in 2 years and is still alive and well after treatment, though she stopped laying entirely since she laid the final lash egg last year.
