Hello!
I’ve been trying to find what this is and what to do for my salmon
faverolle chicken’s bleeding foot and the closest I can come to is a blood feather. But I’m still not sure what to do. I saw it clot a bit earlier in the day but she seemed to reopen it. She’s behaving normally and doesn’t seem to notice it for the most part.
Please help!

Welcome To BYC!

Looks like a broken feather to me. You may want to pull that out, use a pair of pliers.
I can’t find the base of the feather to puck out! All I see is little red, either vessel or new feather, piece is hanging out of it.
Also thank you for the reply!
