Blood in coup

I found blood on the rafters this morning. I don’t see any wounds on guineas. Any ideas?

Thanks. I’ll check them out for that. It’s our first flock so I’m not really experienced with all of this.

I agree, a broken toenail is most likely if you aren’t seeing any obvious injuries. My Jp’s are more prone to broken toenails it seems.

Looks like that was the case. It was pretty scary to see the blood on the rafter. She seems pretty good now. She limps a little and was standing on one leg

That was a lot of blood! Glad it wasn't serious

Corn starch and flour can also help with stopping the bleeding if it isn't too serious.
