Blood ring ? Candling duck eggs day 5

Hi can anyone tell if this is a blood ring and needs chucking ? Day 5 of candling I just don’t want to Chuck it and there be a developing duckling inside but then again I don’t want it exploding . Thanks a lot

Hi! I had this problem, too! From the looks of the picture, I think it might be a blood ring. Do you turn your eggs every day? I think the embryo was going to develop but then it got stuck to the egg shell and died. I think you should keep it in the incubator for a few more days and see if it develops more. If not, throw it away. Best wishes!

Yes that is a blood ring. The embryo started to develop but died, the vessels broke and bled into the egg as you can see there. So sorry!
