I've had a bit of a bummer day but not as bad as you are having right now. Saved 6 chicks for someone and they have now given back word and don't want them. I was banking on them going so the shed would be empty for these that I have in the incubator now. Have given the shed a good clean out for them today. They were not impressed with the dog cage I put them in while I did it.

Hope you have a better day today. Is there any more action from your other eggs?

thank you for the luck. lol first 4 leaf i have seen. one hatched today and it is so sticky it wont wash off. nothing from the other 3 . I did the salt test on my thingy. your babies are not much babies any more. hahaa

It is time for a new hygrometer, Granny.

I got up this morning to a sick dog. I can't really tell what is wrong, she just acts like something hurts. And she keeps trying to hide from us. But, she ate all of her dog food when I fed her. Mike doesn't feel good today either. I am not working today, so at least I get to stay home and take care of them. . . .

Ooh enola, this is really spooky but my dog is being just the same today. He is skulking round the house and won't go outside, hiding behind the sofa. Has eaten his food though just like yours. Very very weird

Granny x2 try a new one. I got a lizard/reptile hygrometer for my original incubator, it was very cheap but did the job well. Sticky chicks Definatly point to wonky humidity.

Update on dog......

She acts like her leg hurts, but, not bad enough to keep her from jumping off my lap to give the cat crap for smelling her food dish. So, maybe she is just sulking about something.

No on the CO2. I have the house windows wide open. There can't be much wrong with her, she ate all of her food..... Then later she ran across the room to bite the cat in the butt for smelling her dog bowl.

I don't know about dogs chasing cats my roo had a good go yesterday at my little cat!

Weather today is cold overcast and tonight a frost is forecast!! Just when you think spring is emerging it goes and hides again!
