I think I'm about 5 hours ahead of you. That's just a guess though!! Great that them chicks are getting big and growing well. Yes the Roos are great all mine have been super friendly even with the girls with them. They are a lovely breed. I reckon by 6-8 weeks you should be able to tell what you have. This year though I've had some start crowing at 4 weeks.
i have got the seven blue polish left from the last hatch. 4 weeks old tomorrow. And still have the three I'm saving for my Mum. But not sure when she is going to take them as she is having a new kitchen fitted and her house is in a bit if a caffufle at the moment. But by the time these eggs hatch they should be out in the coop and run so I have enough room at the moment.

Your flower roo must look funny all the time falling! LOL

very funny, poor guy. he is young though, he will figure it out . just starting spurs. thank you for the info. I am glad they will be able to share the pen and hens if i have rooster. i will try to remember 5 hrs. as close. you were probably still snoozing then. LOL

I was up but getting through the subscriptions. With posting in the new members there are quite a few new posts when I get back on in a morning. Plus first job kettle on let the chickens out check on chicks check incubator!! Then nice cup of coffee and some BYCing. Plus last night I fell asleep in the chair, naughty me. I woke up at 10.45 pm panicking cos I had not locked the chickens in!! Thankfully no visit from Mr Fox. With all that I could not drop back off till about 1 am then I slept in a little this morning!! Not like me, I like routine and going to bed at that time threw me out. Anyway got parents evening at school shortly after I've done the horse. Then sort us something to eat. I just havnt stopped today. Been to horses this morning then done my dog walking then had to go to the accountants then food shopping. The chickens between all that. I'm ready for a good sit down later.

I'm back Parents evening went super thank goodness. He's trying hard and got the teachers in stitches that's how I think he gets away with things. Not quite up to the level he should be but doing ok to say he's dyslexic and has dyspraxia. His writing is still bad but reading has really come on. Super pleased for him.

Day 6 for the eggs today so will be candling them later to see what's going on e How you doing ok I hope? Will be waiting for dark but with the longer days that's going to be 9pm gone. Just 5 hours 30 minutes to go

Have candled the eggs. Had 2 clears so down to 25 eggs now. The clears were from Snowy the silver lace roo girls. But the Ginny eggs from him are developing well. I'm not surprised with this though because he makes such a hash of mating them. He's so different from Bash the blue splash roo. Snowy causes a right fright on his girls and rushes the job generally taking a couple of goes at it. Where as Bash is just steady away gets his job done with no squawking from the girls. Snowy girls sound like they are being seriously attacked by him

All in all not a bad candling. Hope your OK?

slow and steady wins the race ? hahaaa good candle . i did get mine today. they are small still. very cute though. wing feathers so far. they look all silver.

I am just tired and computer is on the fritz again.

Hi granny! How are your new polish doing? All good I hope? Are you well, hope the computer is playing ball again?

Only on day 10 with eggs but it feels like 10 weeks!! Have sold the 7 blue chicks from the last hatch so just have the three left for my Mum but it's not looking good as 2 are certainly roo like. The shed is very quiet now with just the three in there. Not much else happening really just the normal everyday stuff. Oh got a new coop for snowy and his girls as there's was second hand in the first place and we have repaired it countless times but there is only so many times it will fix so before it collapses alltogether got a new one. Hoping to get it together tomorrow and painted.
