Bloody egg on new layer?

My pullet australorp just started laying eggs. Today I found a little smudge of blood on the egg. Should I be concerned? Normal? It may have been her first egg. We have two newly pullet layers and one girl is laying every day and her eggs are very light brown. This was a dark egg which I’ve never seen before so I’m thinking the australorp just started laying. Does that sound right? Will they have different colored eggs that will correspond to the breed? One is a Sussex and other is australorp. Thank you!!

It's normal. I always feel bad for the poor little gal but indeed normal. Is the egg speckled? Australorp egg would probably be lighter than Sussex and Sussex could be speckled.
