BLRW Breeders - Black in the breeding pen?

I'm just curious if anyone uses black blrw's in their breeding pens at all? And if so (or not), Why or why not? Any advice would be appreciated. Trying to learn all I can. I have 2 black blrw hens and the blacks seem to me to have the best type.

If you mate:
Blue X Blue = 50% Blue . 25% Black , 25% Splash
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue , 50% Splash
Blue X Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Splash X Black = 100% Blue
Black X Black = 100% Black
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash

I had heard somewhere not to use the blacks in your breeding program but had never heard or would understand why? I have a gorgeous splash roo and 2 nice black hens I was thinking of putting together to produce all blue. But I am pretty new to this and after hearing that was just wondering if the breeders knew something about it?
