I'll accept your $5 and put $20 on it as a pullet. (Grin)

It will take another year to get it's best feathering colours, no sickle feathers. A Wyandotte cockerel would have them by now.

If it's not a recognised colour there then previous comments apply re. crossing, wrong egg went into incubator etc.

She'll be a very colourful hen in 2 years when her colours stabilise. Nice bird. Could use something like that in a hybridising colours programme.

I think 80% of you voted pullet and the rest cockerel...

It will be interesting to see how Scarlet grows and evolves this summer.

I think the first egg should settle it......these people are literally giving their money away. Lol.

So if it's a pullet you'll call it "O'Hara" for short? (Dry)

Well I just found this thread....7 pages later and reading through everything and looking over the pictures, I say its a cockerel. I have noticed that many wyandotte lines a super slow growers, which lengthens the amount of time it takes to be able to properly identify the gender. Good luck!

OP here... if it helps any I noticed today that Scarlet is as big as my two 14 week old cockerels (and "she" is only 11 weeks old) -

This does not bode well!
