Its so clear how much you care about these guys and what great care you take of them. Hope you are ok-and hugs.

Thanks I am sad but I am more intersted right now in fixing my system so that this can never happen again! I am keeping Henry Bleu's brother here for the time being and maybe he will just never crow

or if he does it will be quite enough so the neighbors don't notice. I may cull a few of the mean older hens as they are not friendly any way and get two girls for blue roo here

They won't be "culled" but sent to my aunts rowdy bunch out on the farm. We have talked about electric poultry mesh and might just move to that now.

Henry,

Could you ship him to Phoenix?

Serious.

I would love to have a Blue Ameraucana Roo

I need to be educated about how to ship birds because I really have no idea I would be glad to send him to a good home. I bet he would love the weather there. If someone can explain to process to me I would be glad to.

A strong cardboard box with holes?

I'm hoping someone can help us. I'll pay for shipping costs etc....

Guys,

You'll need one of those USPS 'approved' avian shipping boxes. They are roughly $10 and have 'biofilters' built into them and a nice handle. The filters look like dryer sheets to me.

Put some shavings in the box and call your PO to tell them what you are shipping, where he is going and what time you should bring the box/bird to them so he gets shipped most riki-tic. Pack the bird and be on time to the PO.

Shipping varies in cost but runs around $65 average give or take a few. I think a good bird is worth it.

Save your shipping box, it can be used again.

hmmm I am not sure I have to figure out the cost I think their are rules about it. I need a horizon box which isn't cheap. If you have an incubator I can recommend you a ton of people with hatching eggs for sale and chicks in the spring. I am just not sure he is old enough to go that far on his own. I will talk to some people who have shipper birds before and see what they think. I am not sure if I want to keep him or not yet I might so now promises I would love to help you out though and if you need help finding hatching eggs I do know 10 + people who have them.

Thanks,
Henry
