Blue Ameraucana thread!

Trading some Lavender, Black (cross split), Silver Ameraucana for some blue chicks in northern CA. They are John Blehm line. I live in Del Norte.

Pretty! What are the birds next to him? Looks like a CL but silvery

The yellow beak and willow shanks make him stand out as an Easter Egger.

He isn't a blue or a splash by definition, but a very odd and neat looking color/pattern.

A recent photo of my 6+ month old Ameraucana blue rooster, not exactly sure what to call this color.

I sent in my payment for the Ameraucana Breeders Club so I can be listed on their list of breeders.
But until I get NPIP I can't send out of state from what I understand.

I have a black and blue flock, it will be fall before I can separate them once my little ones grow and I can sex them.

But the ABC has breeders in quite a few states.

Do you currently have pullets available for sale? Would you be willing to ship to CA?

That isn't a recognized AM coloring. He is an Easter Egger.

Getting closer to blues!

I lost my couple little blue juveniles due to a respiratory illness.
They just never grew and faded away.
Everyone else in that pen recovered well.


But, I have 5 nice black hens, and will be putting them with this guy once he finishes quarantine for blue babies
His beard and muffs are actually growing back in now, the ladies groomed it out of him.
i was worried, but see the little stubbles coming in, so I'm happy.
His legs are darker than they look, not quite slate, but pretty close.
I will be picky with the babies, and only keep the ones with slate legs.
