Excellent! I hope they all hatch for you. Be sure and post pics. I'm about done for the spring. I think I'll probably try some others in the fall that I didn't get to yet and then I think I'm going to wait for at least two years before breeding again. I've decided to wait to breed them til after their first big molt, which should be next fall (the ones that hatched this spring). That way I'll know who can survive this place and still look good.

I will definitely post post pics. And Scooby Roo is too funny...I've added the teenagers to the big pen and he's so good with them! You should see him go all protective when you grab one of the hens, it's funny! of course he's learned that We are ok and doesn't try to come at us when we grab one of the birds but he's very diligent Roo and struts around like a King.. I love to sit in there and just watch them. The girls of course we named Daphne, Velma and lady viking...Lady Viking is the most vocal so reminds me of an opera singer !

everyone is doin great. I have started FF so now everyone is getting it including the goats! The blues rush for it so I had to add another bowl for the little ones but they all fight for it..it's funny.

I added Black Oil Sunflower Seeds to their mix, but wondered what you were using also so I might keep it going.

I somehow missed this post... sorry about that.

I use whole grains, oats, wheat, barley and milo. I sprout things like lentils and fenugreek. I rehydrate alfalfa cubes and beet pulp pellets to mix in. Hard-boiled eggs crushed and mixed in... shells included. Plain, unsweetened yogurt as often as I can afford it. Shredded carrots. BOSS and safflower on occasion. I don't have an exact recipe, but I'm working on putting one together.

I bought some Lentils, navy beans, mung beans, split peas, and have added that to the FF when I feed them...they go nuts for it. I haven't added any carrots or eggs yet but workin on it.

Just for clarification, I don't mix hard boiled eggs into the ferment bucket. When I take the grains out of the ferment bucket to be served, then I mix in the crushed hard boiled eggs. Same thing with the alfalfa cubes and beet pulp pellets. These are rehydrated separately and then mixed through the serving bucket.

got it! thank you... I have beet pulp for my horses and bran mash I wonder if mixing in a bit of that with FF grain would be helpful? off to research I guess! LOL

The Andalusians on the spanish site are the best I´ve seen in this topic. And they also got the bantams, really nice!

Is there any one else with Andalusian bantams?
