I was sold a Blue Plymouth Rock (left) and a Blue Australorp (right). They are both 6 weeks old now! I’m starting to think the Australorp is a cockerel, which makes me sad because I can’t have roosters in my HOA. But these birds look identical other than the combs and waddles. And they both have the SUPER soft feathers. Could I actually have 2 Australorps?

Not trying to over-complicate things, but what hatcheries are calling Blue Plymouth Rocks are actually not Plymouth Rocks at all. They're a sexlink between a Blue Andalusian and a Barred Rock. This means that the males are blue barred and the females are blue. They also don't have a set skin color because they are a mix of a white and a yellow skinned breed. What makes me say Blue Australorp instead is that your cockerel is not blue barred. The other one is likely what you were sold, a "Blue Plymouth Rock" that's actually a Blue Sexlink
