Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

I'm having some frustration with the rub ons. I needs tips on how to get them on a round surface. Mine kept slipping so I tried tape and that stuck to a butterfly rub on that I managed to get on perfectly, and it peeled some of the butterfly off.

Which by the way I was able to scrub off with soap and water, thankfully

Help! Please? Am I the only one that can't work with these things?? I found 3 different brands and yes some work better than others. I don't think I'm using designs that are too large

Any tips? Thx

I will try this next year. My pullets are only 13 weeks, and I have a bunch of rag quilts to make.

It does take some practice. I cut out the rub-on I want to use and gently press down in the middle of the design, then start rubbing outward from my fingers, finishing one side at a time. I think everyone probably has their own technique, though. You just have to find one that works best for you. Of course, a good rub-on brand can make a huge difference, too. Good luck.

Hmm... another project I am going to HAVE to do. Now... when will 5:00 get here so I can go to the craft store?

Everyones eggs are just gorgeous! I can't wait to do this. Perfect project for my kids to work on too!

One of my pullets laid a huge egg today, I think it may be a triple yolker

I've had one double yolker and it wasn't as big as this one, poor little hen. I am going to try and blow it out, it'd be a good one to decorate. Thats actually the first thing I thought of when I saw it

Wish I could get a double yoker. That would almost be like getting a small goose egg.
Oh I forgot to add, my Charlie Brown eggs are selling REALLY good. My mother took several of them to work with her today and sold them all.
