I recieved my blue cochin chicks by mail this morning 3 out of twelve have no feathers on their legs are they not cochin?
They have been in the brooder for two hours now and all 12 chicks are doing well ❤️.

I have never had a large or bantam cochin not have feathers on the legs.
I have had Marans without feathered legs occasionally.

Can you get pictures? Where did you order them from?
I should’ve thought of that before I just loaded a photo. I have three like this and I got them from AV hatchery in California actually, they appear to have been sent from Austin Texas. I have had Brahmas and Cochins in the past and never had them come bare legged and that’s why I questioned, but they are my babies and they will live here just like the rest of the girls. I was just curious as to what breed they might be.

AV hatchery in California…but looking like they were dropped shipped from Ideal in Texas.

Glad they're doing okay. Unfortunately if they don't have feathers they're either not cochins, or very very bad quality ones. Pictures would be very helpful (plus who doesn't like to see cute chicks)
