I think a lot of birds grow out of the blue eyes. I know a LOT of my baby pigeons have blue eyes when I wean them, which turn to pearl eyes when they're adults. And the greenish-dirty orange color eyes turn to brilliant yellows and oranges as adults.

I was looking at my barred rocks today, and noticed they have beautiful blue eyes! I've never noticed chickens to have blue eyes before. Do all barred rocks have blue eyes? What other breeds have them, oh, and does anyone have pictures? Thanks!

I don't know whether this thread is supposed to be a joke or not lol but I had a Lavender Aruacarna x Cuckoo orpington cockerel that had bright blue eyes. Her was mainly blue with some cuckoo on his saddle and cape. His mum had brown eyes, father had orange.

I just today posted about a lavender orpington pullet I have.....she has blue eyes...at 3 months old..... hope they stay blue. They look lovely on her.

One of my Old English Game bantam hens has recently developed lovely blue-ish eyes! Sadly, this is due to Ocular Marek's, but I still have managed to find the beauty in it all.

You, ah, do realize that this thread is 11 years old? The bird that was in question with the blue eyes might not even be around anymore....
