Blue Fawn Call Duck Genetics.

It's funny, I think it really depends on the individual birds. My newer breeding stock that I got in the Fall are all very quiet (Appleyards and Mini Overbergs). I literally never hear a peep out of them. Some of the ones we have raised from ducklings though are a little louder and more demanding, but not by that much.

I would agree with roboboy, mine only really seem to quack when they see me and want fed but that is only the females, as far as I know the males rarely make a sound. However they do make that chatter rather often, but that is rather quite compared to the quacking. I know when I walk into the coop early in the morning and the calls start quacking and the roosters crowing it is a real assult to the senses, it is borderline painful. That is with 60 some calls and 5 roosters so it adds up rather quickly. I would say if you want them to get a few males or a pair or two and see how they are.

Yep I heard this too. My friend asked Art Lundgen about it and he said it is like the blue color in chicken. He says if you breeder Blue fawn to Blue fawn you get 50% Blue Fawn 25% Pastel and 25% I Think grey I dont remember. But one thing he did say is that its not good to breed Blue fawn to pastel it will make a bunch of funny colored little ducks. I havent tryed it just what he said.
