Do you know anyone who has silver laced orpingtons?

Just thought that I'd post an idea that has been sitting in the back of my mind. I haven't seen anyone post the color combination and was thinking that might be a starting point for my flock. I have some very nice Blue Orps and a few Wyandottes in the mix. If we were to cross the SLW and Blue Orp Hen or a Blue Roo and SLW hen then what would the offspring look like? From what I have seen the rose comb should be dominant and would show up on the offspring. Any idea if there is a craving for Blue Laced Silver birds versus the upcoming BLRW? Just trying to get a feeling before possibly undertaking a project and building out more runs/housing.

This is an old thread, but just curious if you ever tried this cross and what was the result? The pictures of the desired outcome that others posted were lovely. I haven't heard of any blue laced silver wyandottes out there yet ... but maybe you have some coming along?

In Belgium we are promoting this color now for the third year in a row (race : Wyandotte bantam).
Last year we got the first positive advice from the jury.
We need 3 positive recommendations from the jury to get the new color recognized.

The easiest way to get the blue laced silvers is to cross a silver laced rooster with a blue laced red hen.
Afterwards you keep crossing the (F1, F2, F3, F4,...) blue laced silver hens to a good silver laced rooster.
Just until there is no longer a sign of any red in the feathers.
In 3-4 generations you can get lovely results with the hens, but the blue laced silver roosters keep showing some red leakage.
