Blue Orp & BR Cockerels (((SOLD))) / N. GA.

Someone just called and want all seven BR cockerels. Oh, dear. I dare not think about that. :| On a brighter note, the feedstore just called me with a customer who wanted to talk to me about the Blue Orp cockerel I have up there for sale. He was so excited to find him, that made me feel good, so I may have all my extra baby roos sold by the end of today. Jeff, your two boys will be the only ones left here.

Just glad you have possibly found homes for the others! I wish it was the end of April already....!!!!

Me, too, but its raining here today and the guy who wanted the BR boys hasn't shown up yet. He may be waiting for the rain to let up some. Your two boys were still in the nursery coop with the BRs and if that guy takes the BRs, I'll move your two in with my seven pullets in the Firetower coop, so they won't be lonely and I can then clean out and disinfect the nursery coop to make way for my upcoming hatchlings. Hopefully, yours will be hatching on your birthday and you can come get them that weekend. No Blue Marans in this hatch after all, so nothing that can be confused with a Blue Orpington, LOL.

Nothing till April 4. Then, I'll have Welsummers, Jeff's Suedelettes, some Blue/Black/Splash Ameraucanas and maybe some of Julie's gorgeous dark RIRs and Buff Orps. THEN, a week later, I'll be getting Buff Orpingtons from Jody and maybe some Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas from ParkerVA (JD), that is, if his birds start laying better by then. I may pop in a Barred Rock egg or two, and I was going to put in a couple of Charlotte's with Hawkeye, but DH isn't enthused about that. He wants something that lays larger eggs than Charlotte (hers are large, but he likes jumbos). I bet the BR part of the chick would make it lay bigger eggs than its mom, though. I still might accidentally slip one or two in there, though, LOL.

My buff orp chicks are from Jody and I candled the RIRs from Julie last night and they're all developing. They were in the same package as some blue orps and silkies and there were several clear in those. I truely think some breeds just are more sensitive than others when it comes to shipping.

They came and bought all seven BR cockerels and Jeff, they wanted the Black and Blue Orps! I told them if they weren't already sold, they'd be $20 each. You should have seen their eyes widen, LOL. The feedstore sold my other Blue Orp cockerel today for $20! Now, I will be getting the nursery ready for the next batch.
