Hi all, I’ve scoured the BYC forums for info and pictures of Blue Partridge Brahma chicks and couldn’t find any! I thought I’d contribute myself so hopefully it’ll help other people later on.

here are my two chicks, BPB according to breeder. Exactly a week old today! They hatched 28th of March.

Cute! Interesting, all of the blue birds I have seen are also blue as chicks.

I wondered that! I haven’t been able to find anything about them on BYC so I just took my breeders word for it. He did say he was new to BPB!
Maybe do a Google search. I just did one and it brought me back to this site and there was an article under breeds. I guess it is really hard to tell a blue from a gold until they get older, at least that’s what the article says. It will be interesting to see the progression of your little chicks and see what they turn out to be like. They are really beautiful, looks like they are going to be some big birds.

Can you link that article for me? I would love to read it! Thank you!! I’m excited, I think they’re really cute.
I’m curious how you can tell they’ll be big?

I can’t find it again, I will look a little later. They look like they will be really big because of how plump they are and their legs look thick. They look like really healthy checks.

2 weeks old! They’re pretty skittish birds, which is a bummer. I’m thinking it might be because they’re taking after the Black copper marans in the brooder. They’re very skittish.
chick 1- Elsa

They’re both cute! I’m curious on the sex as Anna is feathering wayyyy slower than Elsa.
