I’ve only been able to get pictures of my silkie babies sleeping weird, so I wanted to get some silly ones of their faces. Plus my favorite little bantam hen at the end )

Additional feature of my beautiful chicken daughter. All these babies are for her to be friends with, eventually. She did not want to be their mother and ended up attacking them, intimidating them. She’s never had a problem getting along with fully grown bantams though.

Since the last rooster passed away recently, she’s been extremely skittish. I sit with her to eat and she freaks out at every sound or blow of wind. She’s never been like that- always a hard headed little lady. The other day she wouldn’t come down from perching to eat until I came out in the afternoon. That’s also very out of character, she’s an early bird.
So my goal has been to hand raise some friends for her. This forum says hens will be good for her, all these silkies are hens. I’d like to get a rooster as well.
