BO 9 weeks old...please tell me one is a pullet....

My BO chicks are now 9 weeks old..One I am almost postive to be a Roo...his tail feathers are longer...more pointy and he has almost a shiney top layer of feathers..he has more red coming in in his head. The other Bo feathered out early and has a more puffy tail..she just is shaped more like a hen if that is possibe..she is more docile and likes to be held where the other one is louder..and is more reserved. Both are big babies and are very attached..does not really matter if they are both roos...but I would like some idea.. I am a newbie and am still unsure. I have updated pix of them and would love to have any input..

This is Miss Lizzy..I think she is a pullett..her feathers are fuller, tail is fuller and she does not have the red face

Miss Lizzy..she is just more puffy then he is..makes me think it is a pullet...

He has less puff..
Any thoughts....I am pretty sure I have one roo and one pullet because they just look so diffrent and act diffrent..but again I am a newbie so not sure!!

It does look like the one has long, pointy saddle feathers coming in. Can you get a pic from straight down concentrating on the feathers right in front of the tail and maybe one that is a level side on pic?

I am so glad! The funny thing is..these are the 2 chicks out of the 17 that I rescued back in feb...the rest of the gang..were all roos! She would be the only pullet!

I definitely think you have one of each. My pullet didn't even have that much red and wattles at 9 weeks though, but I know growth is different with each bird. I still think she is a pullet.

I'm going against the tides, as I think you've got two boys there. I have never seen a female and male grow the same size wattles and comb redness of the same age. I would guess your one is taking longer to show "her" shiney feathers. Spread the saddle feathers and see if you see any shiney ones coming in as little points. The slow maturing males tend to hide them in there.
