Bob's website is the only poultry one I have saved to my favorites besides BYC. He is the reason I joined the APA, bought an SOP and have my New Hampshires. His determination to get "H" poultry into the hands of everyone who was interested in them was unfailing. I never met him, or even talked to him, but I feel a great loss hearing the news of his passing. When my grandfather died, I said the loss was hard to bear, but the ones I felt bad for were my younger cousins, the ones who would never have the chance to know him. This is how I feel about Bob Blosl. It is good to know that his posts will remain here for all those who will come later to see.
Prayers are being and will be said for Zora and all of his family, his biological one and his poultry one.

I have had poultry for over 20 years but never considered raising heritage fowl until reading all the posts and the sheer enthusiasm and knowledge that Bob had to offer. What a sad day for his wife and family and for the poultry world.
Stunned by the news of our loss of Bob Blosl...an advocate of Heritage birds and champion for education. His loss will be felt across the poultry world. My prayers are for his wife, his family and for his friends.
What an incalculable loss to his family and friends and the countless people who have been informed and inspired by Mr Blosi, but what a wonderful example of the positive effect one person can have in the world when you follow your heart and stay true to your passion.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Blosl's family. He (and his photo essay on heritage versus hatchery RIRs and BRs) is personally responsible for my conversion to chicken fancier. Many of his recommendations have been cut-and-pasted into my desktop document "BYC Pearls".
