Thanks everyone. I have the birds loaded and ready to slide into the van in the morning. The wife is at a dog show, so I'm fixing my dinner, watching the world series and then crashing to get ready for an early start.

Bob..I was beat by a mallard that the woman found by the side of the road. I had 6 mallards in the show too, but this ugly mallard beat mine and all my other waterfowl.......ahahahah.....once! There are the occasional shows that hire marginal judges and I still go cuz everyone has a chance....like a raffle. Your peers will tell you if you should have won or not.

Where is the location/address of the Ventura show? I would like to check it out. Any RIR's going to be there? Is it only on Saturday?

It is: Seaside Park (Ventura Fairgrounds) 10 W. Harbor blvd, Ventura CA 10/27. There will probably be some RIR's there, but I don't know for sure.

I sure hope those NH pullets do good on their maiden voyage and like you've said before make some folks cry, LOL

And the rest of ya'lls stock too, but I'm sorta partial to those orange chickens, LOL I have some of their cousins/maybe even sisters here so to speak.

Thanks. I entered two pullets....lets see how well they travel during a 1000 mile trip.

Well, I am so excited!

I finally have chicken news,

.
Junior and his Junettes will be coming back East from the West as soon as the Frankenstorm clears western PA.
It's been a year long wait.

This Light Sussex trio is from a pure English strain which has been bred
in the US for several generations.

Juniors' sire is an APA Grand Champion.

. Junior is one of the get from his sire bred to the sire's daughter.
The pure English girls are from different pens,same breeding program. Next Spring, we'll breed the trio together
to expand our flock. I am so grateful to their breeder for entrustng me with these lovely SQ large fowl.
