congrats on that
Awh, thanks, Cooper12. After talking to the list, I think I will show them later next year after I get several hatches from them. They are all NPIP.
Planning on donating several breeding pairs to the local 4H next year. The flock will be closed and not crossed with US or Aussie strains.
Best,
Karen

I finally have chicken news,

Junior and his Junettes will be coming back East from the West as soon as the Frankenstorm clears western PA.
It's been a year long wait.

This Light Sussex trio is from a pure English strain which has been bred
in the US for several generations.

Juniors' sire is an APA Grand Champion.

. Junior is one of the get from his sire bred to the sire's daughter.
The pure English girls are from different pens, same breeding program. Next Spring, we'll breed the trio together
to expand our flock. I am so grateful to their breeder for entrustng me with these lovely SQ large fowl.

Thanks,
The judges love Junior's sire. The breeder says Junior is looking just like his sire at this age. One of the best things I like about the trio is no superhackle. Just lovely correct white hackle striped with black. No solid black necklace around the base of the neck.
Best,
Karen

Congrats Karen! Good news! Have fun. I have just hatched ~25 chicks from the breeding flock i got from Emily. I have some very nice birds growing out!

Plus i can keep the 1-1/2 months in with the breeder flock. No picking or nuthing! I can not say ennough about the sussex. They are just such a great breed with an awesome temperment

What wonderful news! I know how hard you have worked to find and start your flock.
You should have some nice birds to show next year!
Best Success,
