Thank you. Some of the F3s have started to lay, so I will pen them soon. I have yet to decide which cockerels I will use. I keep changing my mind.
That second pullet has some awesome feather width. Great Job!!

I can't speak for anyone else but the comments I made yesterday were made because we keep getting off topic. Then when asked to please try and stay on topic we went right back to trying to prove a point about how your brain works.
Look, I'm a simple guy and I like to learn just as much as the rest of you do, I would just be happy if we could all agree to talk about Heritage Large Fowl and if some of you want to argue about line breeding and genetic diversity or brain function....PM each other or start a thread for that.
This bird is not quite a year old and almost can not fit through the chicken door...He is a GSBR! I'm still hoping to see some better tail feathers!
KISS,
Chris
That Delaware pullet is gorgeous!
They are the squeaky wheel Bob. They make the most noise and so they get the oil. Just like your front door. If it squeaks for very long, you'll do something about it.
The rest of us need to get squeaky.![]()
Now there's a breed if you want eggs, eggs, eggs!
Oh I wish I had room for them too!

I was not upset with that comment, just trying to clarify my post from yesterday. Being a Port Captain and working on or with Harbor Tugs for the past 20 years I can help you with a lot of things but celestial navigation is not one of them. I'm a brown water Captain and don't care for the blue stuff although I have found my sea legs out there once or twice!!!BTW-ignorant means lacking in particular knowledge, not really an insult. People who think ignorant means the same thing as stupid are, well, ignorant. I'm ignorant on the topic of celestial navigation, among many other things.

Be careful what you say. What's the weather like up your way anyway? Freezing?![]()
I have been culling this week. I got rid of 10 more pullets and a few more cockerels.
What a lovely bird !
Not much discussion about Wyandottes, here is an April 2012 hatch cockerel that I really like. Took the pictures this morning before it starts snowing tomorrow. So not ready for this winter weather precip to get here. He will be the sire in this season's breeding pen. Lovely bird. I think he is thick, wide, has type, and a strong head. I didn't hatch him, I got him when he was like month and half or so old.
