Just to my blog. I took down my website as I cannot directly sell reproductions any longer.

No chickens on here though, I haven't updated it in forever.

Thanks for the sneak preview link of the new SOP illustrations. I can't wait for it to come out!

Katherine Plummers work is amazing....and I see her medium for these is graphite and
colored pencil. Those of us in the Colored Pencil Society have been working for years to gain
more accepetance of the medium in the art world. Her fine work here will contribute.

You can get "painterly" results with pencil, with an additional amount of detail.

The oil paintings by Diane Jackey and Richard Bills in the 2001 edition are very nice,
but I think Plummers detailed work and imagery is going to be very helpful.

Yes, colored pencil, but she can use anything. I wanted her to use pencil to get the detail we need. She is doing engraving and scrimshaw now. Katherine is a very talented artist in many mediums.

I would not have used Diane Jackys work, but I was not in a position to make that call. It serves the purpose, but it was all done quickly and inexpensively.

Love your work cpartist, you can do realistic too.

Walt

Walt, they are already out of them, when I received my yearbook, they had an order form for the hats, books, etc. included and the B&W SOP was marked Out of Stock. Is it a 2001 version also? I can try to find it elsewhere. I would really like those Schilling illustrations for reference.

cpartist- you are VERY talented- at first glance, I though "nice photo" - I can't wait to see your chickens!
