Very interesing. Just finished thru "Best time to market poultry".
Interesting, Lamon agrees with fine ground Oats (groats too); and the use of milk.
Take a look at Page 165. there's a wonderfu lmeasured diagram of a battery of fattening cages. The best I have ever seen. To get a copy of this for yourself, right click on the pic and highlight it. Right click with the mouse and choose "save as". Save the pic to your computer and the print it out from the copy on your computer. I think, for me, I will have Hubby Bob build mine with 2 cages on each level as in the 2nd and 3rd levels. That way I can do either 8 or 16 birds (2 per cage) in each battery.
