I will be getting some Columbian rocks this hatching season(if all goes as planned that is LOL) I have struck a deal with Mr. Fogelly to trade him Barred Rock eggs for some Columbian Rock eggs. So Scott you'll have grandkids in Louisiana "afore' too long LOL

Lemme know if Ron runs short on eggs....I think he only has a few pullets. I'll set up ya if he can't. I set up breeding pens here this week and intend to have all my hatching done by early Jan.

After reading an article from Exhibition Poultry (read genetics section)

My line seems to be lacking an inhibitor which causes brassiness in the hackle/saddle/shoulder areas of the male birds. From speaking to the author of this article, seems we need an inhibitor called Aph-I, which can be bred in using good quality Barred Rocks, which I think you already have. As you get into them, I'll get you all the details...no need posting it all here

either way I will still get him some BR eggs/or chicks however it works out though and he is one of my (? answerers) in my RIR endeavors too, LOL
