Bonded (a planetary RP)

Donella and Lara felt the ship lift off subtly and looked to one another before the two split to explore the ship separately. They both wanted to learn more about it and where everything was.

Lara walked along one hallway, pausing when she heard someone. She glanced in the room, stopping to look at the dragon then looking to the dragon's owner as he used a staff. "Hello" She greeted when he seemed at the end of a sequence.

Nemra gave an alerting hiss as Lara walked through the door, not to scare her more to let Dorian know someone was there. She then curled herself up on his cloak and watched her as she stood at the door. Dorian was focused on the staff so if Nemra hadn't alerted him he probably wouldn't have know she was there. When he finished the final, a forward jab he brought the staff back to his side and straightened up and turned around. Dorian assessed the new comer, he had seen her briefly during all the fighting but had not officially met her. It made him happy that he had kept his suit in good working order he wasn't comfortable showing what he really was to new people, so he was thankful she couldn't see his face or anything besides the suit. He nodded his head in greeting as he moved to put his staff back on the wall with the other training implements.
"Hello, I don't believe we had a chance to meet before, I am Dorian and that is Nemra." He said cordially as he turned back to her and leaned against the wall. He had met many humans in his time and he wondered what she thought of all of this. Of him and Nemra too, it must be quite a shock.

Nemra gave an alerting hiss as Lara walked through the door, not to scare her more to let Dorian know someone was there. Her eyes or they may have played tricks on her for all she knew of them.

Lara smiled softly as she watched him put the staff away and greet her "I'm Lara. I didn't mean to interrupt you, I was just wandering the ship and trying to figure out what is where." She said then dipped her head "I've never been on a spaceship or seen any aliens before. It's quite an interesting experience." She glanced over to Nemra again "She was bigger before, wasn't she?" Her eyes or they may have played tricks on her for all she knew of them.

"It was not an interruption I was finishing up anyways. Your first spaceship, that is exciting. This one in particular is quite nice, its far nicer then the ship I had when I crashed on earth years ago." He replied smiling to himself at her wonder behind his mask. What it must be like to see it all for the first time. He looked at Nemra at her comment and he gave a low whistle to her. Nemra got up and flew to him landing gently on his shoulder and wrapping her tail around his neck. He reached up and stroked her chin and cheek with two fingers listening to her make an appealing trilling noise to let him know she was happy. "Indeed she was, she is able to change her size within reason on command. She couldn't always do it, her native and wild cousins on our home planet can't do it, she is special."

Nemra got up and flew to him landing gently on his shoulder and wrapping her tail around his neck. He reached up and stroked her chin and cheek with two fingers listening to her make an appealing trilling noise to let him know she was happy. "Indeed she was, she is able to change her size within reason on command. She couldn't always do it, her native and wild cousins on our home planet can't do it, she is special."

Lara nodded "It is exciting and a bit scary, but how often does a chance like this come along? To actually go out and see space and the peoples and creatures that live out there. There is so much to see and learn about." She said then flushed and dipped her head a little, thinking she was sounding like a tourist or something now. She watched him call the dragon over and had to smile at the happy trill. "That is quite an adaptation. I wonder if any others would be able to start doing that in the near future. It would certainly help with survival, if the smaller body has a lower need for calorie intake. Though the growing and shrinking may take more energy." Hm...she stopped then looked to him before dipping her head again "Sorry, I didn't mean to get all clinical sounding, I just get curious and can't stop asking questions sometimes." Of course that curiosity was why she was here in the first place. Well, at least she was getting comfortable enough to act like her normal self now.

(I agree with having Worf be first officer, he would take over in Skylers absence. As for Odo and River, I would be fine with assigning them roles if they are staying and the role is empty. I would like to figure out the roles of the established crew of the ship first if possible. Having River as the future security officer probably won't be a problem, what is it you want Odo to be? I was thinking Linda we know acts as kind of human expert, with some mild medical training I believe. So that just leaves Narti and Crow I think for established crew members. And just so everyone is clear they don't need to be something specific if you don't want them to be. They can be just a crew member or scout. )

(He would also take over when ever the captain is absent. There is most of the time two pilots so Odo can be the other. )

(Okay, so everybody is really tired this morning, right? Why don't the adults make some coffee. People talk about stuff while they're eating. Check out each other's characters. Talk about the crash, the explosion, what the initiant's lives were like on earth. That sort of thing. Crow is brining breakfast, I think, but there is probably a coffee maker in the dorms, compliments of Linda.)

Someone needs to help Crow find the humans

(So since everybody is on board I am going to have Skyler get the ship in the air. So we should probably decide the roles that her current crew will play on this ship just so we all know. I can have her be the pilot, she has many assassin skills so adding awesome pilot to her list of talents is not so far a stretch, plus she is almost 100 years old so she has had time to learn stuff. Kaaras my other alien crew member handles loading cargo, as well as helping out with certain navigational things, when he feels like helping. So we should have someone else that also does navigation. We should have someone who is maybe a mechanic or likes to tinker to help fix things that break. Any ideas guys? )

Crow can just be a normal crew member. Or maybe some sort of apprentice?

(Man i really want to make like a cyborg character at some point. Either human or alien that has a bunch of mechanical body part replacements. I dunno why it just speaks to me. )

(I think if every one is okay with it a will have Worf be first officer (Right under captain) because I think I said so in his form and I think Skyler once mention he was higher ranking. And I want Odo to stay so if it is alright he can be the second Ensign with Skyler. Since River is going to be staying I`d like her to be a Security officer if that`s alright.)

(Ooh, you gave me an idea. Maybe Narti can be a Security officer as well. If that's okay with Nariah01, of course, since if Jaxson is her bond that probably means that would have to be his job too.)

Worf laughed then grew silent "I`m sorry about your crew." he said to Erin "Narti if we`er going we better get to the bridge," he said

"Erm..." she laid back down. This was awkward. First she called the girl Scarface in her mind, and now she was saying they were related? Mom died like, ten years ago. How come she never told?

Erin pulled her new, clean shirt on. "We lost a few." She said, almost like she was talking about an animal of some kind. She picked up Ezor's mask from her bunk. She stepped out into the hall with her and closed the door. "Here." She said, handing her the crumpled translator.

Jaxson was looking at Ezor translator intently and hadn't realized he was leaning in towards it and the alien holding it. When the ship jolted just a bit he lost his footing and fell into Narti. He made a startled grunt and then hauled himself up right and gave her a nervous look. "I am so sorry." He mumbled at her, hoping this new alien wouldn't be mad.

(Now... how do I answer three posts for my one character? *strokes imaginary beard*)

Dorian smiled behind his mask and let out a deep rumbling laugh at her rambling. He liked her enthusiasm and excitement and curiosity, it was pure and enjoyable to see. He also noticed her to be rather intelligent and probably a scientist given how she saw Nemra. He walked over to her so she could study Nemra closer and turned so the shoulder she was perched on was closest to Lara so she could reach up and pet her if she was brave enough. "You may pet her if you like, she doesn't bite..much. Trust me if she was going to hurt you she would let you know before hand she is nothing if not polite. I raised her that way." He replied before adding. "Her ability to shrink is not a natural adaption I am afraid. Her natural size and form are her larger self, about the size of an elephant. I raised her from an egg, however as she grew older and larger I realized I would never be able to bring her with me when I left the planet. So I contacted a scientist who was doing some rather experimental work and I asked him if he could help. Her ability to shrink down like this is due to science, thankfully it didn't hurt her and it gave her a new trick. Something that lets her come everywhere with me."

(Ok that makes sense. Once everyone settles in we can have Skyler give him the rundown of how to pilot this particular ship. Its like her baby so you know she has to make sure she teaches him how to treat her right. )
