'Boots on the ground'

That is what the Army says when they have arrived to there destination...My son Andrew is boots on the ground in Baghdad...I got a call from him to let me know he was ok and was going to his permenate camp tonight... Thanks everyone who sent me incouraging messages when he shipped out the beginnig of the month...Pam

Glad he's landed.

My dh is scheduled to be back in the Continental U.S. in the next few days but we won't see him to Jan. 12th. It's been a long 15 months....and me and his 2 little girls miss him somethin terrible.

Keep us updated on his progress.

My son just enlisted. He goes to basic in January.

My SIL in in Baghdad now too. Has been since September. My step daughter is completing necessary paperwork and testing to enlist. I think it is a good choice for her - she wants to work in the medical field....
