Maybe your AC won't pick them up from you, but would they accept them if you brought them in?
Our county AC will pick them up if you have rented a trap from them. But they'll accept the ones you bring in your own traps. There was a time when there were such a high number of rabies cases that they'd accept the trapped raccoons & feral cats for free, now they charge $20 each to take them. And they'll fine you $500 if they catch you trying to release one. That's why many folks here dispatch their own trapped raccoons.

That being said, there is absolutely no shortage of raccoons, possums or coyotes in this area. Every few years there is a boom in the population and you are overrun unless you knock their numbers back. Same thing goes for Deer. Without hunts and wildlife management, the local disease vectors go WAY up and animals get desperate as food runs out, and wildlife starts to starve.
If you want to do the live and let live, thats fine and dandy. I guess you don't have the heart to do the responsible thing. Proper wildlife management is not the governments job... its the hunter and trapper's. They just set the guidelines.......

Don't forget - disposing of one critter just opens up room for something else unless you are also finding a way to exclude future predators. And the critter that fills your raccoon's spot could easily be something even more fun, like a skunk or an opossum. Can you rework your coop?

Yes I move to the country, to have my animals that you cant have in the city. I also have almost 40 acreas set aside for wildlife. Still any predators near my animals will be control, dead ones dont return. Raccoons way out of control my #1 wild predator.

You have little choice. For starters relocating "a few miles up the road" is illegal in CA and does not solve the problem anyway. You need to take it at least 15 miles from you to truly relocate it.
So, the only choices you have...leave it be and predator proof like Fort Knox or kill it.
