Bossy or a boy!?!

Never having had a roo is there any way to ensure he’ll be gentle as a grown up? I handle & cuddle them all a LOT. I guess/hope being an orpington is a checkmark in his favor!?

He certainly is!! Just started crowing. He’s a good boy! Occasionally gets a wild idea & tests the waters with a peck, but I have been scooping him up and carrying him until he relaxes whenever he gets out of line towards me. Mostly he’s polite to everyone in the family and keeps a good watch over his girls. I’m learning to interact with him slightly differently than my girls… it’s a learning curve but we’re figuring it out! Roosters are so different than hens!
