Just do some online research. Showing them is pretty easy if you have a nice bird

You should be able to find a lot of information. You should just give it a try! We had no idea what to expect our first time and my daughter won Champion Feather Leg with her silkie!! It was really cool! We weren't expecting that!

With the showmanship competition, she has to actually present the bird to the judge, showing it's wings, etc. That takes more practice.

Knowing her, she'll want me far away when this happens. There is a class that they are doing for the kids on showmanship. The website said the time would be posted at the show. Maybe that will help her. We'll see. Haha

Yes i think so or just about even, lots of great birds ect...

I think the number of sellers ia about even BUT there are far more chickens available at the Expo, and many are rare breeds. They also aren't the usual hachery quality, backyard layers you usually see. Plus no cage birds, very few pigeons, and no guineas that I can remember.

Too funny, I think all girls are the same with their proud mom's

Yale contacted me to help them find a Polish Pullet or Young Hen. They would like a it to be either silver laced or golden laced. Does anyone know of a breeder that will be at the show with a possible pullet hen like this?

Please contact me any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Beth

We had a great time, saw lots of different birds, my little one wanted one of each! I found a 3 week old blue laced red wyandotte that I wanted (would have preferred an older one, but I am happy with this little one, as long it it stay Jane, and doesnt become John! lots of birds for sale outside. It was definetly worth the hour drive for us, but I think I would do Westford because its closer.

Hi Shay,

I was wondering why I didnt see you and Jose. We all missed you at the show. My three did very well. Another BYC'rs daughter showed two of my boys and they won first in their division. Then my blue silkie pullet won 1st in her division and got RV.
