Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
Here is my advice, take it or leave it. You will want more chicks next year. I guarantee it! I would take time now to enjoy the chicks you have, in your lovely flock of 8.
Next year, reevaluate space and your flocks behavior. If you really want silkies, you could build them a small coop & run and get 3-4. If you want to add other breeds, you could take the time to integrate them carefully when they are small, or maybe get lucky and end up with a broody momma who will raise them for you where integration is easier!
Also, if you wait until next year, just as this group starts taking a break for molt and the winter, you’ll start getting eggs from a new crew.
Just my 2 cents. The urge to add does NOT go away, and if you fill to capacity now, you’ll still want more!
