bourbon red question

Do bourbon red turkeys get better color as they get older. Someone is selling them but there is a lot of grey in them, but they are young.

Yes, they get darker when they are older. How old are the ones they are selling?

grey? a BR shouldn't have any grey in it. There are alot of people mixing and matching, if your BR isn't bourbon and white it isn't a pure BR.

I think he said they are about 7 months old.

I agree with Steve. There should be no other color but red and white. If they have gray, then they are either not pure or very good examples of culls and a Sunday dinner!

My Bourbon Reds never had gray in them and they are 9 months old (and laying). I would not think that they are pure.
