I kinda skimmed through the thread so I may have missed it but I can't believe someone hasn't said Heather. Seems like it was really popular some time back.

I met a woman named Tabasha last weekend. I thought that was pretty unusual.

OK I did the heritage thing with my girl named her after her great grandmother and great aunt Shannan Estelle
I have always hated my own name and do not use it but many find it pretty Maureen
I also like Sharon, Shari, Leslie, Mariah has always been one of my favorites. You are right I could always pick boys names

I really like the name Riley for a boy or girl. I also really like the name Maya. I named my rabbit that, but I'm not gonna discount it as a child's name when the time comes!

Great post, and very good advice!

I've known people to name kids some pretty off-the-wall things, and you're right, kids are brutal with each other, and even if your kid knows you love him/her, it's not easy to face going to school every day when you know you're going to be tormented by somebody.

I like:
Jenna
Emily
Rose or Rosa
Kylie
Kayle
Katherine, Kate, Katy (or Katie)
Maria
