Brahma hen - foot wound/issue

Yeah. I think she’s too far gone. Absolutely no improvement, appetite gone....and I’m not going to start force feeding her.
I hate this part of chicken tending.

I did, but two days into it and she was still declining and still not wanting to eat...
We let her go last night.
 
Sorry for your loss. Have you considered sending her body into UC Davis for a necropsy to see what all might have been wrong, besides her wound infection? It is $25 which is very reasonable for what all they do. There are 4 labs to choose from. The body should be kept cool, not frozen if you wish to do this. Here is a link for them:
